Background:
When Michael was born he was hideous to look at. Like all prematurely born babies, he was terribly small and underweight. Unlike other prematurely born babies, he was green and covered with scales. The tail and the fully developed claws and teeth didn’t make him look anymore human. He was so hideous, in fact, that his mother flushed him down the toilet.
Luckily for him, he was found by a Morlock tribe that raised him as one of their own. By the time he was ten he was already considered a hunter and a valuable member of the tribe. But this didn’t last either. When he was fourteen his tribe was slaughtered by a group of evil mutants who’s identities are unknown to this date. For some unknown reason Michael was taken capture instead of simply being killed on the spot. He was held captive for a few days and eventually sold to the owners of The Mutant Arena – an illegal organization that runs modern gladiator fights with superpowered mutants as the combatants.
Michael’s physical prowess and the aggressiveness and killer instinct he developed as a Morlock hunter made him a force to be reckoned with. Michael was never taught the finer points of the art of war, but he didn’t need them anyway. He would pounce on his opponents like a ferocious animal and claw at them relentlessly, until they were no longer able to fight back. His bloodlust and his physical resemblance to something that should have been extinct a few million years ago earned him the nickname Raptor.
When X-Quisite and X-Travaganza raided the The Mutant Arena and freed all the slaves, Michael was given the chance to do something else with his life other than claw opponents to a bloody death. Now he hs a new tribe, and in between fighting superpowered villains and saving the world with The Unlikely X-Men, he is listening to X-Quisite’s vast collection of rock music, learning how play the guitar, and slowly, painfully, also learning how to be human.

Personality:
X-Tinct’s basic instincts are those of a territorial predator. Since his rescue from The Mutant Arena, he is slowly learning how to interact with other humans, without gutting them, that is. That being said, he is still known to growl and bear his teeth when annoyed or confronted.
He views X-Quisite not only as his savior, but also as a mentor in this strange new world. He is extremely protective of her, and will defend her even at the cost of personal harm.

Appearance:
Basically, X-Tinct looks like a humanoid Velociraptor. His massive body (2m high, almost 120kg) stands upright on its two feet, but uses his long tail for support too. His hands and feet end in claws, with the thumbs equipped with an especially vicious claws which he uses to gut opponents. His skin is green and scaly, and his head resembles that of a carnivorous dinosaur.

Powers/Tactics:
As noted, X-Tinct is not a very sophisticated fighter. His one tactic is to bring opponents down – fast, before they can harm him. He preffers leaping on his opponents, pinning them to the ground with his great weight and then clawing at them till they stop moving. He will also use his heavy tail as a flail against opponents that try to dodge him and keep their distance.

Notes:
Who said the Beasts need to be sophisticated?
